چکیده

Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction (SCE-CO2) is an attractive, green technology that used for the recovery of biologically active compounds from plant material. The antioxidant potential lipophilic fractions (extract obtained with SCE-CO2) and hydrophilic (extracts residue after extraction) a matrix freeze-dried tomatoes (cvs. “Admiro” F1, “Jurgiai”, “Vilina”, “Pirmutis”, “Skariai”) was assessed via different activity methods. total amount polyphenols, carotenoids, carotenoid isomers before SCE-CO2 also determined. To investigate effect extract on viability cancer cells, rat glioblastoma C6 cells were chosen. yielded average 800 mg fraction per 100 g tomatoes. ABTS•+ scavenging 251 ± 3.4 µmol TE/g. After extraction, DPPH•-RSA tomato 7 to 12% higher. There strong positive correlation (R = 0.84) between polyphenolics content samples. increased radical residue, indicating considerable particular capacity remain unextracted matrix. Our results reveal cytotoxic lycopene rich in cis-isomers (62% content) cells. significantly decreased (−42%) at concentration 2.4 µM 24 h incubation.

Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extraction of Bioactive Compounds from Ampelopsis grossedentata Stems: Process Optimization and Antioxidant Activity

Supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO(2)) extraction of bioactive compounds including flavonoids and phenolics from Ampelopsis grossedentata stems was carried out. Extraction parameters such as pressure, temperature, dynamic time and modifier, were optimized using an orthogonal array design of L(9) (3(4)), and antioxidant activities of the extracts were evaluated by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl ...

Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of seed oil from winter melon (Benincasa hispida) and its antioxidant activity and fatty acid composition.

In the present study, supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO(2)) extraction of seed oil from winter melon (Benincasa hispida) was investigated. The effects of process variables namely pressure (150-300 bar), temperature (40-50 °C) and dynamic extraction time (60-120 min) on crude extraction yield (CEY) were studied through response surface methodology (RSM). The SC-CO(2) extraction process was mod...

Supercritical CO2 extraction and purification of compounds with antioxidant activity.

Supercritical fluid extraction (SCFE), based on the utilization of a fluid under supercritical conditions, is a technology suitable for extraction and purification of a variety of compounds, particularly those that have low volatility and/or are susceptible to thermal degradation. The interest in SCFE is promoted by legal limitations of conventional solvents for food and pharmaceutical uses. Th...
